3 day straight of exam is tiring!
Found out that i have memory leak.
No matter how i remember i will always forget 1 of the points. e.g 5 benefits i will only remember 4 and forget only 1. even after henry test me like 2 times and during exam still forget 1 point for each list of stuff i remember :X weirdly 1 only will be forgotten. My brain's RAM has some memory leak!

Long Day Today. Also last Day of Study day in NYP. Left with 3 Test paper to take.

Our Group Chatted with Mr Lee while handling in our project source code. Learn a lot of valuable knowledge. 1 sentence still linger in my mind. As a whole our project is good, As individual its only average. Same as what i thought and posted yesterday. Thx him for giving us a chance to choose.

Finally all Project is over!

Today we presented our final project, EAIPJ( Enterprise Application Project). Everyone was very tired due to having burn midnight oil for a number of days , thus the presentation was unsynchronized and no prepared. But thank Mr lee our Project tutor. He called me a few hour ago and ask me to discuss with the group and choose a representative to present our project for distinction. So we agreed on Nicholas. So good luck Nicholas get a Distinction!

I have learn a lot from this project. Although our project is not that fantastic, pretty simple, I feel proud about it. It taught me many things from leadership ( though i am not the leader) and teamwork, maybe because we are developing a strategy game for a project.

So Why is building a developing a game so different from other project?
Developing a game is not very difficult nor very easy! For example if i want to attack an enemy i need calculate my troop attack. Calculation is not easy e.g u need check if u have enough pilot to drive the plane. include morale of army and other stuff to get your attack number, compare it with defense calculation of the enemy. So all this Logics is done by Abao and Chen Lei. Whereas i in charge of linking the flow and calling out the logics. There u see all our parts are interlink. So teamwork is necessary if example Abao or Chen lei cant come up with logic or cant finish, i learn not to sit there wait and blame each other but help them out, figure the logic do certain parts. Teamwork! Also after so much tedious process as seen above "attacking enemy" it only resulted in 1 web page. 1 web page - 3 person! So who is to present the web page? Me the person linking the flow an doing UI ? or Abao who did all back end logic? Who should gain the credit? Cant come up with an answer? Actually i learnt it doesn't matter who present or who did most of the part or who did the most difficult part. Its a matter of we finish the project, we made it happen, not I finish the project. I think this is something i learn this semester perhaps because the fact that how hard i work i wont get a GPA 3.5 as my grade are to low,but this make me realize how important a team is, e.g even if i really did many parts put in more effort w/o them this project would be another simple ordinary project and not the project i proud about now. Although Sometime my teammate do irritate me like not coming for me meeting asking me to give up sarcastically.

So thanks my teammate Abao, Nicholas, Chen Lei and Boon Siang. Be proud!

OK its time to update my blog!
the last post was like last year?
Hell!!! time cross so fast 2 week and it Chinese new year!
And a month poly life is over!
I wish time slow down abit.

Anyway i shall talk bout projects. As it is bugging me.
I have learn trust myself more than my teammates
Secondly nvr believe in going home then continuing doing. Cause it will nvr happen at least its hard for me to continue doing my work in my comfort zone (home) than in school. Thirdly last minute work sux. although i manage to finish java and Mr law nvr say a thing but having stay all night up to do it is horribly life draining. I rather its done in a month than in a few nights.
Also i would like to thank Nicholas as he always reliable, completing work on time and assignment given to him. W/o him finishing java was impossible.

Tml having entre test but i haven start studying and its 2.30.. Betta start studying.

Oyar do any 1 have an idea if it is compulsory to take the extra 1 year honor in NUS/NTU now?

Finally 1 of the most troublesome thing about projects (Grouping) is settled. Now begins the most headache part of the project the innovative idea. This semester it going be combining 2 projects (Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Programming) into 1. So i need an innovative idea which is both "Entrepreneur" and Enterprising and of cause consist of Google Map and AJAX. Challenging! To be Simple I welcome any idea be it raw or even if its not feasible or not consisting google map, what so ever, just idea. Plz help this poor soul for his last semester :X

I am Very impress by Ken work. GODLY!. Who would though of converting google map into his own map for his game which include flash , crystal report and many more (to lazy to talk his whole business plan in detail). He overlay the whole map and made it his own cool map. He told me he did not overlay it 1 by 1 himself, he used a script pretty easy he said. Worth researching on :X ...

End of a Long Holiday.

School starting next week means holiday ending and i think i deserve to give a blog update on it.

I would say this my longest school holiday i ever had! 6 month + holiday! 6 months so long??? Nah cause Oversea Attachment was like a holiday too! I am glad i was given a chance to experience such unique attachment. I learn many live lessons, changed my views and perception i once had and of cause a bit bout the IT world. Also had the experience of living with friends with 1 big apartments, fostering our friendship, tolerance and many more. Really feels great, something worth remembering and writing it down.

After returning to SG it was sch holiday for 2 months.
I though i would be like before rotting/slacking at home but somehow i feel like i couldn't waste my life. Due to some luck joined Code-XtremeApps, its a 24hr coding competition where theme given on the spot and code base on the theme and specified tools or framework. Mr Ho trained all of us but sadly my group didn't even get merit. Regretted, First i didn't do enough before hand preparation, second didn't brush up my java even i knew we are going to use java and poor ly got to do most of the coding. Third after the 20+ hour i wipe dry of energy , i didn't present our solution well. But well a very good experience of coding marathon and learn a lot about my coding weak points :X.

Weirdly enough due to some complicated stuff. I worked as a student care teacher for a week plus. Weird? ok, i personally feel weird i dun like working or more like find no point working, cause firstly i no need of extra cash( not saying i rich, i got nth much to spend on) and secondly ppl say can get some experience but more than half of my later life i will be working! But i nvr regret working as a student care teacher cause i was under the care of the staff there when i was in primary school, they were so kind and friendly to me. I also learn lots of stuff especially on our younger generation! How IT/internet change us human. The primary sch student were blogging, surfing, watching you-tube and web base game so different from when we were in primary school.

And Today i am offically an OCA, Oracle Certified Associate. After 1 week of lesson by Ms Tang and some studying i got certified today! Thx to OPP i got the chance to learn oracle and furthermore get certified.

A great and long holiday i had.
Time to discard my holiday mood and concentrate on my last semester!Hopefully

Haven Blog For a week plus plus.
Reasons was rotting away... Did basically nothing except sleep sleep sleep. Good thing is my eye bag and black circle around my eye is nearly gone, yeah! Was Bored ... everyone was pretty Busy with work, fyp and blah blah blah. So started playing neopets again. hahaha. Earning quite some neopoints from the stock market :) hope it rise and rise :) ok enough of nonsense.

This week pretty Buzy le.
Today which is later need to go to NUH for my health screening again. Cause of the NS medical screening need get my health reports and stuff plus need to do an echo for my heart. Hate doing this. Got to wait here wait there do this do that then wait wait, then finally see the doctor. and a day is gone! How wasted! ok its at least better than rotting at home.

And For Wednesday to Friday Xtreme Apps training at Sch 9 or 10 to 5. I join the team cause henry didnt wanna join. (not blamming him i was quite interested also!) just my teammate wanna win the top price ahhhhh. And its quite stressful so many new things to study. And me slacking and slacking haven started much . Argh Betta start studying and practicing, i am afraid i drag the team down :C i think i already am!

Saturday Sis invited many many guest for her 21 birthday party. Looks like i got lots of helping out to do.

Sunday hopefully can go out with ying jie and shereen! Miss Them so much!!

Sis ask me help her work for a week at the childcare so she can have a week off. still considering! Quite keen but Sian.

Forgot to pay hp bill again. Cant SMS or Call out but luckily still can receive SMS and phone calls. Was reading the bill and they charged an extra 4$ for the bye bye ring tone! I didn't subscribe for it lor! Was wondering what music was it so i called my own hp and eeek some unknown song. Zzzz

Yesterday went out with Vernon Buddha and Panda to Comex IT fair. Didnt buy anything or had anything that interest me. It was pretty much same as any other year, even the shops can be located at the same place! Pricing wise i cant comment, not to mention i just came back from china so i am outdated. Worst is even if i see something cheap, it still expensive to me! Cause in china i can get it 5 time cheaper! But there was something cheap was wonder if they labeled the price wrongly 10pc DVD+R dual layer cost 22SGD tats cheap! A good buy! 1 disc cost 5.50SGD cheapest! After Lots of walking Panda and Vernon got lame they decide to compete how many friends they could find in the Comex fair! I saw Jiunn Chin and Leslie working at Trend Micro(anti-virus) Booth. I went over say Hi and they tried to Psycho me into buying 1 and share the commission with me. Sorry dude i really dun need a anti-virus! Met Ying Jie too so happy see him. he didnt change much! We further walked to Sim Lim Square to check out some pricing. but in the end we went to different game stores and look at games and play the Xbox and PS console.
Learn something new about Panda other than he has no sense of direction. Dun play strategy game with him he will just Atk his ally or suicide his troops. And he is static!

2 days ago went to Vivocity with pals that when OPP with me to watch Ratatouille. I like this movie. It had a simple storyline, but i like the creative idea, the plot, and the little twists. Worth Watching! Had a great time with my pals. How i wish i was back in china still living with them. I miss those days.

Have No choice but to blog so many people asking me to blog at my Tagbox!

Ok i just weight myself a min ago and i am 55kg argh 1 kg lesser than the day i arrive back. Argh must be cost of falling sick. Having fever and cough on sunday damn must be the crabs and prawns. Its the second time i had fever since i get back le, sad-ed. I think i need more exercise, i payed badminton in Chengdu every week now not even jogging nor even moving my butt from my bed. SO friends plz call me out for soccer, basketball, tennis, badminton, ping pong, aiyar any sports will do!

Yesterday when out with classmates for dinner, although i was sick. when to eat at plaza sing Manhattan fish market. And i regretted it. Twins still asked me if it ok for me to eat and i say heck care and ordered a platter, soup and peach tea. And hell now i have got so much phlegm in my throat and kept coughing, damn all the fried seafood Zzzzzzz. coughs~~~

So today got to stay at home and rest! Tomorrow still have an outing with pals i was with oversea at 3.30??? Apparently we are going catch a movie(dunnoe what movie) in the afternoon and some Ben and Jerry ice cream at harbor front i think. Can i eat ice cream? i wonder hahahaha.

Went Shopping around City but could not find a present that i like for myself.
At evening we all met at ChunXiLu Where we had Dinner at Swensen. Amazingly the Manager recognised us, the last time we went she was a waitress that serve us and now she got promoted. I had Seafood Spaghetti and a Chocolate Frost Malt. Twin and I shared a fire house bday ice cream given free to us by Swensen if we spent 500 rmb and above. The manager was shock hearing tat we have 2 ppl having bday. But she could only offer us 1 free bday ice cream consist of 3 icecream with topping a banana and a candle. My OPP Buddies sang birthday song in both chinese and english, every1 was staring at us in the restaurant. Felt o Shy!!

Went to Ikea again. Friends wanted to eat the Sweden Food there.

guess no more salmon for me, quite sick of it.

Then We went to Digital Mall didnt buy much stuff there!
Maybe should buy neverwinter night 2 -- 15 SGD only.
compared to SG 75SGD but in chinese.

Then Went to Tian Fu Square also didnt buy much stuff!

And We ate Ajisen ramen.
Order BBQ Duck Ramen and only 3 piece of Duck so Miserable.

When For Sport as usual.
Played Tennis for Half an Hour.
Still cant serve Properly.
45 min of badminton.
Huzzy, Twins and LiYing wanna chop of my legs and arms they complain say i move few step cover the whole court le while they need to run. Hand so long stand there can catch le. So sad hahaha. To bad for them i born like tat. xP

After that went to town look look see see.
Atnight we had hotpot again.

And we ordered medium spicy instead of the usual light. It was horrible at the end of the mail my lips are spicy, mouth can nearly blow fire and stomach feel spicy hahhaa.

Its less than 1 Month before home
28days more only.

Last week, weekdays was boring and Zzzz as usual. Everyday work and eat go home and sleep, boring right weekdays, yawns.

Saturday we went to Chengdu's Ikea...
My friends said it was like Tampines Ikea. I never been there before anyway. We ate at the Ikea Sweden cafe. After that we went walking around Ikea. It was like a big playground for us. We were playing with all the furnitures sitting on sofas lying on beds. Playing with utensils and etc. After that we went to JinLi, its a place selling souvenir and stuff.. But i didnt buy much of stuff.

Sunday Henry and I went with Mr Ling and Mr Tee for water rafting.
It was located near Du Jiang Yan. We first had our lunch at a salmon breeding farm. Our lunch is make up of Salmon and Salmon.

After That we went down to the river to play with the "Water". The Water reach As high as my waist at the deepest point the current was quit string. We also played 水上麻将 Its actually putting table and chair in water and play on it. Your Leg will be soak in the icy cold clear river water while playing. I learned alittle on how to play SiChuan Mahjong and Big 2 for 3 person.
After enjoying water and river we went on for water rafting. It was quite boring not exciting at all only a few rapids mild mild de.

After That We went to a mexican tex grill for dinner and Home...

Saturday went on a tour around Chengdu City.
It was quite interesting. Mostly cultural and historical sites.
Learn quite some stuff only cause we rushed through them.
On the trip we also found more place to shop shop and shop.

At night we went to watch ChuanJu( 川剧 )
It like opera but mixture of lots of performace.
There is Bian Lian (变脸). They change their face damn fast 3 per sec!!!
Using hand to create shadow. This 1 was amazing the master could create galloping horse, bird, crap, owl, a chick with 1 hand and a dog with another and the dog swallow the chick. It was very life like.
Opera -- dun understand.
And Many more...

Quite worth it if u go to chengdu u must watch it!!!
But the coke inside cost 20rmb = 4sgd
so be prepared before u go in

Yea 39 More days till Home.
This few days i have been missing home.
When I first came here i though i wouldn't miss home tat much although its my first time oversea so long. But having stay here for 3 months it was way to long, At least its way to long for me. I miss my family, my bed, my classmates, friends and Sweety. I also Wish they were here to enjoy the fun with me.
Enough of moody stuff....

Yesterday i went for a Hair Cut! cause my hair was going to cover my eyes soon. My hair grew very fast here it only less than a month and it grew. so long!

Yesterday we decided to go to a western restaurant called grand ma's Kitchen. Its a high class western kitchen. Its also recommended by wiki-travel and other sources to try it. After eating i would also like to recommend all of you to try it. Its 1 of the most delicious food i ate here in China,Chengdu.

The Past Few Days

Wednesday
As usual Wednesday is a soccer day. Played soccer with colleague. This time we lost, its time we lost too, cant be winning all the time. The worst part i scored an own goal, so embarrassing. It goes like this as i am the defender and my teammate pass-ed me the ball and all my teammate have been marked. And swee shouted pass back so i passed to the goal keeper who didnt grab the ball. Ok, maybe i also kick the ball to hard.. Ah tats stupid. But at least i scored a goal by luck, the ball just roll in somehow, with everyone including the goalkeeper just watching it roll in, Funny? Weird!!!!

Later in the night yaM asked me some VS 05 stuff, suppose to be an easy problem but i am like 1000's of km away how to communicate. It took hours but still couldn't solve it. By the time i sleep i was super duper late.

Thursday
Bad Bad day for me. I slpt the whole morning in the office, cant believe it. But i managed to finish my work by evening. Later in the night went to watch movie, Pirates of the Caribbean. The good thing bout the cinema here, the service is good, the person in front of u wont be able to block your view unless his as tall as yao ming, the popcorn is cheap, it in English and the volume not tat loud or soft just nice. The BAD things, They shorten the film it suppose to be 3hr become 2hr 20 min and worst it is so Xpensive 12SGD. SO X.

This Weekend Trip
This weekend i will go on a 2 day tour to E-Mei mountain. I will be leaving on Saturday earl in the morning and back in Chengdu on Sunday night. So dear friends u may not find me online.
I Would like Thank LiKim, she always talk to me on msn especially when i am on a distant land, make me feel like home. Thanks A Lot!!!

Sunday
Woke Up at 11 and went to play badminton at 12. Meet MR Zhou Wei(project boss) there playing badminton too. Hahaha. Saw a Gal with him should be his wife, didnt take a good look at her. Maybe next time ba since he plays badminton every 10.30 to 12.3o while we play from 12 to 2 on sunday. At first there were 7 ppl going not including me but end up all disappeared leaving 3 person so i joined in to make 4. So we could play doubles or singles and not waste the 2hr booking time.

In the evening i and my twin accompany Li Ying to meet her mum to happen to come to chengdu for a short trip. It was like over in less than 10 minutes. So we walked back to our apartments and waited downstairs for the rest. For some weird reason,We suggested that we hide at the side of the apartments and follow them quietly behind. So that was what we did. And the best part was that even though we followed the rest of the group all the way from the bottom of the block till they flag for cab, none of them noticed that we were behind. How funny. We were like right behind them laughing but no 1 notice. Some even turned back and chat with the others. The best part is HS even turned and ask if we had replied the sms asking if we are going to join them for dinner us. I was like i am here u know.

How interesting but we must watch our back next time,Vulnerable.

Saturday.
I spent my 60th day in Chengdu at 春熙路 (Chun Xi Road),It was kind of tiring walking around. It was equivalent to SG's orchard road, But much bigger. I saw this nice shoe at the spalding, But sadly dun have my size. Nvm then we went to shop sell some illegally imported Adidas and Nike product and i brought a cheap Adidas Shirt at 130rmb.

There’s this 3-storey bookstore there. Lots of books there and they’re cheap compared to Singapore! I bought ASP.NET 2.0 book for RMB$98! Shared the price with my twins. In SG the programming books cost bout 70-100SGD.

Had dinner at Pizza Hut coz we wanted to eat pasta and there’s no such thing as Pastamania over here :-/

Friday Dinner
After work on Friday, We sat down discussing on where to had our dinner when Mr ling and Ms Chua told us of this porridge steamboat store near our house. So we took the cab there. We ordered a seafood porridge, it taste great, but after adding extra soup and porridge the taste of seafood were all gone. Averagely the food was delicious. There was a table beside us that wanting to take-away the porridge and guess what happened? the waiter just pour the hot porridge in to a plastic bag and gave it to them. OMG! How poisonous!!!. Then i realize they do that all they time.

After dinner we went to the street right behind our apartment. It a street of bars and bars and bars. OK so we went to 1 of the nice bar. Most of them ordered beer but i drank sprite with my other friends and play cards, dai di. Hahah and guess what i threw a royal flush in my first turn the the biggest 1, Spade Jack to Ace. Haha how lucky! The rest was shock!! Saying was that possible? Nvm about that but i was winning most of the time i even manage to finish playing in 1 turn while the rest had no chance to even lay 1 card down. Lucky Day for me! If we were gambling i would have won tons of money sadly we are not. Then i remember in the morning that taxi's tire that i took when "flat" and the car no. was 3909 maybe ask dad buy 4d for me. When heading home i suggested that 1 of us should act drunk and see how the couples react who are at home, HS volunteered. I knocked on the door. Madeline and Twin went to open the door and I said, “Hwa Swee is drunk.” So twin looked behind him and saw a “drunk” TPYS leaning on Teck Hwee, but both of them just went back to their respective rooms to continue what they were doing. haha. And no one cared about that “drunk” guy. Then we started laughing and laughing loudly cause no 1 even cared if he was drunk all not. He was so ----- saying WTH and the couples came out from their rooms and started laughing with us after they knowing what happened.

Saturday i booked a badminton court for Sunday 12-2. Its located at the same place as the street soccer court. On Sunday i woke up quite early at bout 10am, i was quite surprise, i dun usually wake up so early on weekends, must be the bunch of noisy people at the living room hahaha. After much hard work of asking around i found out that 9 people are going.

At bout 11.40 we prepared out stuff bring along our badminton racket and shutter cork and left the house. For your information the badminton racket is bought at carrefour it cost 4.90 rmb = less than 1SGD. Shocked? we bought 4. We went to the convenient store buy some water and left with 15 min to walk there more than enough time. But still we were 15 min late.

But no big deal. Long last badminton, i had been so long since i step on to the badminton field.
with 4 rackets, we played double, Quite enjoyable. Found some new facts, like a few of them dun like to run so there were some loopholes in defends and most of them play left right though i prefer front back, cause of my long arm i guess, its easier to catch ball left and right by just stretching them :X Anyway my badminton skill deproved, my serving sucks and cant seem controlling the direction of the ball. The racket is lousy cheap stuff, cheap quality. And guess what, 2 racket's string broke off, its only the first time using it. Cant expect much from a 1SGD racket. So its down to 1v1. It took like ages to reach my turn to play, having 9 ppl playing elimination. So 4 of us ended up renting the ping pong table and equipment.

We play till 3pm and guess the price for everything. its only 32rmb for 1 badminton court and 1 ping pong table and ping pong equipments. 32 rmb = 6.40 cent. For 3 hours!!!!

So all of us where hungry and went for lunch at 4. and look at my bowl of hor fun so big. Guess the price? its 10rmb = 2 SGD. The chopstick are not mini size, they are normal size its just the bowl is bigggggggggg!!!

At night we went to Swensen, i didnt order main course as i my stomach was feel with hor fun still, ate chicken wings and order a chcolate crunchy ice cream yummy, and its cheaper thean SGD the ice cream is 45rmb =9SGD. Sad they dun sell cake, no ice cream cake sobs...

Primary School Class Gathering

2 month ago i started receiving some tons of emails from my long lost primary school friends and that they will be organizing a gathering on yesterday. At first it feel kind of weird. But later i felt so excited, wondering how my primary sch friends changed, what are they doing now and ..... It has been 9 years since we last met each other and suddenly there is going to be a meeting. But sadly enough i am in china for attachment. How i wish i could just fly back to Singapore for 1 day.

What interesting is it started with chain mails, in search for all the missing friends. Thus my mail box was flooded with emails. Each day i would slowly add new "found friends" to my msn and so far i have collected 27 contacts, some still MIA. As i add them to my msn i start chatting with them, starting of with " hihi Do you still remember me?" and the ans was always yes, guess was little infamous then :X... But i cant put their names to their faces and their faces seems blurry in my mind especially the gals. Then the meeting place was decided to be at ray house and wahala. the day came.

Yesterday was a holiday in SG but not in china still i had to work till 6pm. After i finished doing my stuff (dinner and shopping) and got home it was 9. I SMS Vanessa but sadly ray dosnt have a web cam. Sigh! Saw eddie online chat with him bout the Gathering for awhile.

Later in the night i chat with Amelia went saw her online cause i remembered her as a friendly person and she also the 1 answering my funny question and laughing at my lameness last night. :X She told me lots stuff bout the gathering like " who started kaypo-ing about who having gf and bf and all the gals become so pretty and boys growing longer haha" , The Vanessa came online and send me the photo as shown below.

Out of the 18 friends i recognized Johnathon, Samantha, Vanessa, Eddie and Zhu Nian. Less than 1/3... poor memory of mine and i cant recognise Louis cause he cut his hair during NS haha. nearly cant recognize Johnathon too.(guess i not going to take photos when i have shave my hair during NS). Amelia filled me in with the rest of their names. Though i cant remember some of their younger face, I can tell most of them got so much prettier. I crapped with Amelia and Vanessa till 2am before going to sleep.

They are going to have a meeting again during July, urgh, i still in China then. Hope more people turn up then.

Soccer Match

Last evening just Zhou Wei(china colleague) was able to book a soccer court last min as another team decided not to play. So we went looking for players couldnt get much players as most of them going out with their GF. Anyway there 3 couple out of 13 ppl here le hahaa. So we got 5 players (Vernon, Henry, Hwa Swee, Edmund and Me) and Mr ling (our Boss, his Singaporean too) said he would join our team. And so 5 of us rush home first ate dinner and went searching for the place by foot. Zhou Wei say its 10 min walk from our home but i took the wrong turn n have to walk another 10min and was 20 min late.

The Street soccer Court was quite big covered with grass, some sort of plastic grass. There was penalty box, court lines look like a mini soccer field, 200rmb for 2 hrs. As Mr Ling isnt here yet Mr Li (company project manager) joined us. It a 6 v 6 match against our colleagues.

The rules of the match are no corners, no goal keeper , cant shoot behind half line.

And wahala we started and Vernon scored the first goal in 3 sec shooting the ball just inside the half court. I was the last man (Defender/Keeper who cant use hand). The formation was 114, 1 defender, 1 midfield and 4 striker hahaha. Half way Mr Li go injured and we were handicap, it was a 5v6 match, no more midfield. But anyway we still thrash them lol.

2nd match mr ling came and join us and Mr Li Joined the other team it was a Singaporean Vs China Match. And i the keeper scored a goal. We won this match too.

3rd match was a draw. The game ended when Vernon had leg cramp. By then It was 10.30 pm already. we played for 2.5hrs, Time to go home.

On the way home everyone was complaining bout their painful legs. So we took a cab home.
Overall it was fun and tiring haven played sport in quite awhile amaze i still have so much stamina to play for 2.5hr hahaha. It was a refreshing game.

2 months more

Saturday went to a Floraland theme park again with the rest of the 7 pals.
I took 3 ride the most horrible 1 was the 360 degree spin machine it was worst that the 1 at escape theme park but i never regret sitting or waiting 2 hours for it hahhaa. Its horrible as the chiars can spin 360 too but its a ride that is a must to sit hahaha. There isnt any photo as i didnt bring my camera, didnt charge my cam Batt. but still look into my friends albums. They are good at sneaky shots.

Its 1 month 2 weeks since i came here. As usual i was the sweeper. Walking as the last person with henry. Counting making sure that no1 is missing from the group. This Job is seriously interesting, i get to see 'live' drama everyday, how the story evolve and predict how the story will carry on. And sometime i cant stop laughing at it, cant believe live could be so dramatic.
But Hopefully all end with a happy ending.

And 1 think to clarify i sleep late at night not because i like the peace of 1 person ^^

Wee its 2 month more before my birthday.
Wish time could fast forward till my Bday. Its my going be my first bday oversea. Also be celebrating with my pals and my twins. Cant wait to know what surprise they would install for us hahaha.

Today shadow(deputy GM) came back to office, she previously went back to SG for due to work and gave all the colleagues chocolate.

After 41 day in china.

Time Flies it already 41 days i have been in china, But there is still 84 days more before i am back in China, Thats So Long. Many people think that i am having lots of fun here in china and is envy. But Seriously it enjoyable to some extend. There are still many other things to be considered.

Leaving aside the money matters that we have to pay for the air ticket, utilities and have no income.

Life is rather boring here, especially for weekdays, it repeats over and over again. Even the food 6rmb 2 meat 2 vegetables and rice, i have tried all the various combination of food they have although they cook diff thing everyday. Dinner would be eating from the few restaurant near our house. Now eating is just for the sake of eating, The food is either super salty, oily, spicy or all three above. Reaching home would be around 9 where we wait for time to bath. At the meant time it would be playing games or doing chores like ironing and hand washing cloth. I am always the last to bath as i would not need to worry there someone rushing to bath behind me, and also i could wait for the heater to heat up the water before i bath. I also would slp quite late as it is very peaceful as most friends would be sound asleep. i could freely do and concentrate on anything i do.

Also 13 ppl living under the same house there ought to be some minor conflicts unlike in sch u see a friend for half a day. And also many hidden rules that 1 should take note of. Also habits likings and disliking of each person. It could be quite irritating at time with some restrains but it good social training when i go out to the working world.

Friday 18/5..
After Work we decided to find a restaurant mention by our seniors, It was said to served Hong Kong Dim Sum Buffet after 9. Luckily edmund had to do some OT, so we spend our time playing ping pong and chatting till 8.30 and took a cab to Chun Xi Road. This the first time we actually walk the place. It said to be the Orchard Road of Chengdu. True enough there tons of shop and people. We went window shopping while hunting for the place at the same time. Soon enought it was 10 but we still couldnt find the place and sadly every1 is tired carring their laptop walking around so we settled dinner at MAC. The MAC here sell many different stuff, like terriyaki chicken burger and more. But of cause it dosnt taste as good as SG MAC and the price is same as SG!!!!.

Saturday 19/5...
Saturday is the best day for me as we could wake up in the afternoon. This Saturday A friend went to buy a new laptop at ChengDu renounce SU MA GUAN CHANG (Digital Square) a place where IT goods is concentrated at. And his reason for buying a new 1 is because his laptop adapter burned. It hilarious as his lappy is 2 -3 years old and working fine but what can i say some people are rich hahaha. I didn't went along as nth for me to buy, and waste money for extra taxi fare so 5 of us stay behind. We cleaned and tidy the apartment and mopped the floor. actually i only clean the sofa and wash/hang my cloths. JH amazingly helped to tidy up the basin and many tables though she know it will be messy in less than a day. It was a miracle she tidy the place. So we decided to go to subway to eat to reward her for the hard work but sadly the other 8 came back and there was a change in plan.

Sunday 20/5...
Went to Panda Adventure yesterday. Woke up at 6am (!!!) and took a cab there. Each ride cost about RMB$44 (around SGD$8+). Had lots of fun there. It’s actually nothing much to be honest. But well, got to see real life pandas. Chengdu is the home of pandas I think. So yeah it’s quite nice to be able to see Pandas. And we went to subway for dinner. Order a 12 inch bread and was bloated.

Back in ChengDu

Finally i am back in Chengdu.
Been on a trip 4 day trip to chengdu famous attraction jiu zhai gou 九寨沟.

The 9hrs trip there
We traveled wit a group of 49 ppl a tour guide and 2 bus deiver. First we Past by du jiang yan city. The city is very clean and neat, nearly as clean as SG, with many rivers The river was blue not like in ChengDu where the river was brown. After the City was a huge dam and mountain and mountains. There was also beautiful clear lakes in between the mountain valley. In 1 lake there was an island that look like a tortoise. The tour guide said that its the biggest island that look like a tortoise and by seeing/spotting it u will 长命百岁。We also took a photo riding a white yak. The tour guide said tat 1 white yak can change for 10 black yak. yak = mountain cow。 The tour guide shared valuable information about the people living in the mountains. We gained a lot of insight about their religion, their culture and their life, like the meaning of the flags they hang at the back of their houses and villages. Placing the flags at different places mean different things. For example, the group of flags at the back of their village shows that it’s a burial ground. Each flag represents a member of the family that has passed away.

We got a new insight on the old-fashioned type of toilets in China. It was just a drain with partitions, no doors and no flushing system. It was very weird using these toilets at first as everyone would be able to see you while waiting for their turn outside, but we got used to it after that.

Upon reaching Jiu Zhai Gou, we took a bus to the top of Jiu Zhai Gou and saw many breathtaking lakes, waterfalls and mountains. We were told that a lake was the filming location for the movie “Hero” 英雄 (starring Jet Li) and the waterfall where they shot “Journey to the west” 西游记.

While waiting for a bus to another location, we experienced light snow. It was an enjoyable experience for us.

The only thing we didn’t enjoy was that we had to wait for the rest of the tour group and tour guide before we could continue to the next location at Jiu Zhai Gou. A lot of time was spent waiting for the other people. However, we had fun taking pictures of the scenery.

At night, we went to the home of a Zang race family. On the way there, our tour guide warned us that if we were to drink the wine provided, we would have to finish the whole cup or it would offend them.

There, we were ushered to a big room which was able to fit the whole tour group. One of the family members taught us how they called single men and woman (“se lan” and “se mou”). They also sang us their tribal songs. They barbequed goat for us to eat and also food like potatoes, and a type of barley which tastes like popcorn. We were also given a cup of wine and milk each. Luckily for us, this family doesn’t drink and we were told that it was alright if we did not finish the cup of wine.For me the wine was tasty and light in alcohol probably less than 5%.drank bout 5 cup :X

Believe it or not i am married at a age of 18 cool? It all happen like this.

I was unluckily chosen to compete with a single girl in 3 love song as u know me i dun listen to song moreover sing them. if i lose i will have to join the family and never go home and i win i can bring the gal home. So i sang a few lines of tong hua, lao shu ai da mi and forgot wat last song i sang. and had jiao bei jiu.

After the dinner, we joined the group of people outside around a fire to dance. It was enjoyable and a new experience for all of us. And after that i ran away back to hotel. guess it was all for fun

We stayed at another hotel for the night. This hotel provided hot water on time and the weather was less cold. We prefered this hotel as compared to the hotel we had to stay at the first night.

Day 3: Our main highlight of Day 3 is to visit 黄龙 Huang Long (“Yellow Dragon”) The tour guide brought us to the source of a river located at the top of a snow mountain for us to take pictures. It was the first time experiencing wintry weather for most of us.

Then, we were brought to this huge area that sells yak meat, products made from yak skin, yak horn and some food products made from sesame seed and barley.

We then went to another exhibition hall that sells herbs. It was an interesting insight to the type of herbs and their medicinal value. Next stop was an exhibition hall of crystals. The tour guide assured us that if we found out that the crystals were fake, we could get a double refund for the product and the tour agency would get a complain lodge against them.

Huang Long was the next stop. The tour guide gave us 4 hours to tour the place. It was a tiring climb for us as the oxygen level was low and it was a 3.5km hike up and another 3.5km down the mountain. Unfortunately, many of the streams, rivers, waterfalls and fountains were dried due to the dry season.

At night, we were again allocated to stay at the hotel which we went to on the first night. The wait for hot water was again long, and in the middle of the night.

Day 4: After breakfast, the tour guide brought us to a tea appreciation centre at where the minority Qiang race (羌族) lives. The lady who shared with us about the proper way of drinking tea has a humourous personality. She shared with us the difference between the Han race (汉族) and her race. In the Qiang race, the women is the head of the house and they work to earn money for the family. Then men stay at home to take care of the children and do housework. The women all marry early at the age of 18 and as they are a minority race, the Chinese government allow them to have a maximum of 3 children each per family (as compared to the one-child policy for the majority of the Han race).

We were given 4 types of tea to taste, and learnt the proper way of drinking them. One tea’s, 生态茶, health properties was actually discovered by a Singaporean many years ago when he visited the area. We were amazed about this relevation.

When one of the women there realised that we were Singaporeans, they were quite happy and said that they have never been to Chengdu, much less Singapore so they have only seen Singapore on television.

The next stop was a factory and hall selling products made from yak’s horn. The products available were combs, walking sticks, cigars, nail clippers, beads and some decors. The women working there were all Qiang race and we realised that even though some of them were of our age, they were already married.

After lunch, we took a 4 hour bus ride back to Chengdu and our apartment.

Currently we are back to work today.
tml the 7 other friends would be coming. Cant stand to meet them.When they come we could really turn the house in to a lan shop.Hope they get use to it soon. Sadly they missed the cold weather now its like SG warm.

Hi ppl long time no see,
Today is my 20th day in ChengDu, China
Now i am in office, Secretly blogging, Shhhhh

Firstly About Me.
I have somewhat adapted to the place,
the air, the water, the language(slang) their lifestyle.
Quite influenced by their slang :X
The food here is super spicy and oily,
and wohoo i can eat spicy stuff.
I couldn't take spicy in SG. Now 2-3 days dun eat spicy
will feel bit no appetite. Adapting to their food to well.
Learned to wash cloth and iron le but not tat pro yet.

Secondly about chengdu,
It quite an urban place, feel like Malaysia to me.
The air is blury and dusty, 2 day dun sweep/mop floor
= dirty floor hahaha. but i am still feeling ok with the air
the road is not like sg cars, super messy, anyhow 1,
cars can go in opposite direction de.
saw a 10 yr old child driving motorcycle with his
younger brother cool? The cars here wont let human
cross the road as if they do they wont be able to move,
as there are just lots of people here.
but i have became a jaywalking pro :X
The food here is super spicy and oily.
Not like SG, u eat once here u would
understand the real meaning of spicy.
the food here is cheap, we go to diff restaurant
daily for our 8 course dinner and it cost
80 rmb for 6 person. whats best is the rice
here is free flow, not like sg 1 small bowl 50 Cent.
the branded stuff here like adidas it expensive
though is produce here.
Many people have the wrong perception of china brand,
actually they have many good and cheap brand really
worth buying but u have to try out the diff brands.
The weather here bout 20+ degree now.

Lastly about the company,
The people here are very friendly, willing to teach us
our project ic very nice teach us many things
like taking various bus to sch, good food and restaurants
as company has a pingpong table he also teach us pingpong.
Have been improving my pingpong skills.
We even went to eat 麻辣火锅 with him :X
They also dun force us work to do.
Often give us lots of time to complete.
Also company organize a outing to theme park last week,
like SG escape, so nice.

We will be having a 7 day holiday starting 5/1 to 5/7
its labour day holiday. from 5/2 to 5/5 i will be going
to 九寨沟 Jiu Zhai Gou, it a place of scenery.

Today Time Cross very fast.
Today i was incharge to write a reply letter to Mr Li (china) to reply on our progress in SG
It took me a whole morning to do.
Realise Swee Love to add spike in his word, he said "throw all the paper work to YiLong. Let Henry go study".. As if i dun need to study, like i so free...
Hahaha
Luckily henry help me alittle.
Also today started toking to the 2 design sch teammates more^^

Afternoon we meet the rest of the teammates to playing ice breaker game, China Culture lesson and talk by past student and ms hunag.

Funnily i got the highest mark for the quiz about china, how weird hahahaha
Had a fun day not much work done :X
Tml got to write a report bout the week better start thinking how to start writing.

Hav been sleeping till very late in the afternoon haven tune my body clock back.
Today so restless, so bored couldnt concentrate.
Didnt did much.
Configure and play around with microrsoft sharepoint. And play around with the crystal report.

today graham came to chat with us, crapping all the way.
HE said he wanna have dinner with us before he leave the school
the comfirm date is next thursday 22nd.

was apply create a crossword puzzle
but only can show cant do any other thing.

Played with oracle a little
And No More!!!
SO Boring and Slacky in there.

2nd Day of Work

It has been 2 days since i started work for my OPP
OPP ---> Oversea Placement Programme

In short For those Who still dunnoe.
I am currently working for Singapore Computer Systems
@ sch blk L lvl 3 (8.30am-6pm) can come visit me there!
I will training/working here For 1 Month.
Then on 9April to 17August (tentive) i will be
Working in SCS, China,ChengDu Branch.

4 month away from home
So Long, Will definatley miss the food, friends and family

Today was a relaxing day.
Finish my brief report on Tools & Tech
Borrowed a C# book to study, now @ chapter1
Tried to create an oracle server in 1 com
Tml i will have to reformate my computer and
instal all the various software

Today Met Shereen Jie @ South Canteen While
Having my Lunch, Long time neva see her liao
but only say 1 word "HI" hahaha. Sorry I cant
make it to your house to Bai Nian due to my exam
last week n the 3 day holiday i hadto prepare lot
of things. ALso tat cant make it to ur event.
